Dekyiling Tibetan Settlement Organises Free Clothing Distribution Drive under the ‘Year of Compassion’ Initiative

Dehradun: On 17 and 18 October 2025, as part of the ongoing Year of Compassion initiative, the Tibetan Settlement Officer of Dehradun, Tsewang Phuntsok, in collaboration with  Karma Choedak, President of the Tibetan Market Welfare Association, Dehradun, organised a charitable clothes distribution drive at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Residential Boys Hostel (Balak Chhatrawas) and Girls Hostel (Balika Chhatrawas).

The two-day program reached a total of 550 boys and 767 girls, providing them with warm clothing and essentials ahead of the winter season. The initiative was warmly received by the hostel residents, who expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generous gesture.

Staff and representatives from the Tibetan Settlement Office and the Tibetan Market Welfare Association were present throughout the event, offering their support and encouragement.

The event served as a meaningful demonstration of compassion, reflecting the initiative’s core objective of promoting kindness, empathy, and social responsibility within society.
