Ghoton Press Pass Registration

For the ‘Year of Compassion’ events celebrating His Holiness the Great 14^th Dalai Lama’s 90^th birthday, the Press Pass will be issued to the members of the accredited media, independent media and filmmakers.

Validity:

Date: From 1 July 2025 to 5 July 2026
Place: Dharamshala

Required Documents:

• • Copy of the Press ID/Letter from a media agency, production house and media-related institution. (online submission or by email)
  • For Foreigners:
    • Copy of Passport (first page with personal details) (online submission or by email)
    • Copy of a valid Indian Visa (online submission or by email)
  • For Indians:

• • • Copy of Aadhar Card (online submission or by email)
  • For  Tibetans:
  • • Copy of Green Book (First page with personal details) (online submission or by email)
  • Two passport-size photographs (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) (submission in person upon the collection of Press Pass)

Collection of Press Pass:

The Press Officer, Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration, will issue the Press Pass from 10 am to 12 pm on working days.

Points to Note:

• • 1. Mobile phones, smart watches, sharp objects and inflammable items are not allowed during the events presided over by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
    2. The seats and space allotted to the press are limited at most events. The seating will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.
